Spotlight on Films on the Waterfront

We’re delighted to announce our new event series, Films on the Waterfront! It is a free movie series presented by Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore and Baltimore Recreation and Parks. This summer we’re offering two incredible flicks outside under the starts at our waterfront parks.

On July 20 at 7:30pm you can enjoy Oscar winner Shape of Water at Pierce’s Park. The film revolves around Elisa, a mute, isolated woman who works as a cleaning lady in a hidden, high-security government laboratory in 1962 Baltimore. Her life changes forever when she discovers the lab’s classified secret — a mysterious, scaled creature from South America that lives in a water tank. As Elisa develops a unique bond with her new friend, she soon learns that its fate and very survival lies in the hands of a hostile government agent and a marine biologist.

On September 8 at 5:30pm, we’ll be going on an adventure in West Shore Park with Ralph Breaks the Internet. Video game bad guy Ralph and fellow misfit Vanellope von Schweetz must risk it all by traveling to the World Wide Web in search of a replacement part to save Vanellope’s video game, “Sugar Rush.” In way over their heads, Ralph and Vanellope rely on the citizens of the internet — the netizens — to help navigate their way, including an entrepreneur named Yesss, who is the head algorithm and the heart and soul of trend-making site BuzzzTube.

Bring your chair, blanket, and anything else you may need to enjoy the movie – we’ll have FREE popcorn waiting for you! We’ll see you on the Waterfront!
