Waterfront Partnership is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and the proud steward of Baltimore’s most celebrated asset. We are advocates for the continued investment in the Harbor, health of the Harbor and the addition of new amenities to keep the Harbor fresh and lively. We help maintain the Waterfront, build and program unique and playful parks, lead the planning for its future with Baltimore City, fund improvements and encourage its growth and evolution so that it may continue to serve as a place of pride and the place where Baltimoreans come together to celebrate.
We proudly produce a variety of one-of-a-kind events and programs to activate our Waterfront public spaces, attract local residents and visitors, and provide more reasons to visit the Waterfront. Our year-round programs and events focus on creating experiences that are entertaining, often educational, and always enjoyable. Each event provides a variety of sponsorship opportunities that can be customized to meet any marketing objective.
Events and Programs Include:
Harbor Market: The best rotating local food variety from Baltimore is available at Harbor Market, the pop-up marketplace at McKeldin Plaza. Harbor Market gives downtown employees an opportunity to enjoy lunch outside featuring live music, lawn games, and bistro tables.
- Fun on the Waterfront Outdoor Concert Series: Formerly known as Summer Socials, Baltimoreans mark their calendars for our monthly summer concerts on Friday nights at West Shore Park and Harbor Point. Meet friends, family, and co-workers for live music, games, family activities, food trucks, and fun!
Waterfront Wellness: Free fitness classes at West Shore Park! An opportunity for fitness-minded individuals to improve their all-around wellness each week through classes ranging from yoga to boot camp.
Harbor Harvest Children’s Festival: Our annual Harbor Harvest Children’s Festival brings the country to the city. This event features an urban pumpkin patch, a petting zoo, a hay maze, face painting, pumpkin decorating, pony rides, live music, food trucks, stilt walkers, and other fall festivities without having to leave the Waterfront.
Harbor Point Ice Festival: Central Plaza is transformed into a magical winter wonderland with twinkling lights, interactive ice sculptures lining the walkways, live music, sparkly stilt walkers, food vendors, and more! Spectators watch the excitement as award-winning ice sculptors use chainsaws and chisels to create spectacular ice sculptures.
Each event provides a variety of opportunities. Please contact us at email@example.com or (443) 743-3308 to discuss how your organization can get involved!
INNER HARBOR ICE RINK
In 2014, after a ten-year absence, Baltimore’s Inner Harbor Ice Rink re-opened in the heart of downtown and immediately became the center of holiday activities in Baltimore. In just three years, the Rink has become a wonderful new seasonal tradition for families and residents. In 2018/2019, we saw over 1,600 skaters/week and garnered widespread coverage with media reach totaling 52 million people. We expanded our community partnerships with a 67% increase in free tickets given to school and community groups.
The Inner Harbor Ice Rink sits in the heart of downtown, with over 100,000 employees within a five-minute walk, 88,000 cars traveling by every month, and 14 million visitors to the Harbor every year.
Simply put, ice skating makes people happy, and the benefits of associating with the rink are countless. As a sponsor of the Inner Harbor Ice Rink your company will receive immense visibility, as well as be credited with creating a unique and affordable family recreation venue.
We are seeking a lead sponsor to help us bring back the Inner Harbor Ice Rink for the 2019/2020 season. We look forward to bringing the ice rink back each year so that families can continue to create traditions and memories along the waterfront. We have been fortunate to have the support of many local businesses and foundations over the years, to who we attribute the success of the ice rink, and we hope others will join us this year. If you’re interested in partnering with us, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at 443-743-3308.
